These last years’ biggest cannabis hype has been, without any doubt, OG Kush. This is the most highly regarded and most requested marijuana strain by Californian VIPs. Why? Regular Seeds (Regs) is the term applied to non-feminized seeds that produce either male or female cannabis plants, in a natural ratio. That being said, Regs are not really suitable for a direct seed-to-harvest crop, because there won’t be only female plants and, as said before, only female plants will produce flowers (buds). Regular Seeds are mostly used to breed new cannabis cultivars (strains) or for the selection of mother-plants for cloning purposes.

Feminized seeds (Fems) are guaranteed to only produce female plants and because they are specifically bred for this reason; NO BOYS ALLOWED! Growing cannabis from feminized seeds will bypass the hassle with males and the whole selection process; this comes in handy especially when growers are limited by space (keeping a motherplant requires more space). With Fems you will be able to grow your favorite genetics directly from seed to harvest!

Autoflowering cannabis plants have become popular for a number of reasons. Growers who are looking to save time have found the quick flowering time of autoflowers to be useful for obvious reasons. Due to the ruderails gene present in auto's, most auto's will harvest  within 60 -75 days of germination, the plant will grow much faster and ultimately flower faster than feminized and regular plants.

So I have a thread on the ASC-forum running right now about EXOTIC CULTIVARS. It is a real HOT TOPIC at the moment so I am going to bring this discussion to my blog this month.

From my experience I can really conclude that there is a difference between ‘common weed’ and more ‘exotic/terpene rich flowers’. Part of it has to do with growing and drying/curing skills, but I’m sure that the genetics that are being used play a BIG part.
