About DNA Genetics
DNA Genetics was started by two friends from Los Angeles, Don Morris and Aaron Yarkoni. In 2003 they moved to Amsterdam with little more than their passion for cannabis, and in 2004 they opened their first shop there, bringing Californian genetics to the Netherlands. That same year they won their first award, for L.A. Confidential. Twenty years later DNA Genetics calls itself the most awarded cannabis breeder in the world, with more than 200 awards to its name.
Cup winners and famous strains
Chocolope took second place at the High Times Cannabis Cup in 2007, and Kosher Kush won first place in 2011. In 2013 Tangie, DNA's revival of the 1990s Tangerine Dream, won three first places at different High Times Cannabis Cups. Those winners live on in newer crosses: 24K Gold combines Kosher Kush with Tangie, and Kosher Dawg crosses Kosher Kush with StarDawg. Since 2015 DNA Genetics has also worked in the legal markets of Canada and the United States.
