Appearance of the plants

L.A. Amnesia grows vigorously with a clear sativa influence, developing strong side branches and a noticeable stretch once flowering begins. Indoors it can become fairly tall if left untrained, though the structure remains manageable with topping or low-stress training.

The buds are large, elongated, and heavily resin-coated, often forming dense spear-shaped colas that continue stacking throughout flowering. Trichome production is impressive, giving the flowers a frosty white appearance late in bloom. The plant keeps a slightly more open structure than pure indica strains, helping airflow and light penetration while still producing substantial flower mass.

Taste & smell

The terpene profile is bright and expressive, led by strong citrus notes—especially lemon and orange—combined with classic Haze spice and subtle earthy undertones. During flowering, the aroma becomes very noticeable, filling the grow space with a sweet but sharp citrus scent.

On the inhale, the flavor is fresh and zesty with clear lemon character, while the exhale brings out more herbal, peppery, and slightly woody notes inherited from its Amnesia background. The combination feels clean, lively, and layered without becoming too sweet or overly gassy.

L.A. Amnesia delivers a fast-acting, uplifting high that leans heavily toward the cerebral side. The effect starts with a clear mental buzz that boosts mood, focus, creativity, and energy, making it especially suitable for daytime or social use.

Despite the potency, the experience usually stays smooth and functional rather than chaotic or overly racy. Underneath the mental stimulation, there’s a light body relaxation that keeps the high balanced and comfortable over time. In larger doses, the intensity becomes more pronounced, but it still avoids the heavy couch-lock associated with stronger indica strains.

Growing characteristics / Yield

This is a feminised photoperiod strain from the Tommy Chong’s Collection, developed to combine premium flavor, potency, and reliable cultivation performance. It performs very well indoors and outdoors, especially in warm climates or controlled indoor environments.

Flowering time is around 9–10 weeks indoors, which is relatively reasonable for a sativa-dominant hybrid with this level of production and potency. The plant responds well to SCROG, topping, and canopy management techniques due to its active branching structure.

Yields are high, with indoor harvests reaching around 550–600 g/m² under good conditions, while outdoor plants can become very productive when given enough root space and sunlight. Thanks to its heavy resin output and strong terpene production, it’s also a good strain for extracts and concentrates.
