Appearance of the plants

Gorilla Melon naturally grows more outwards than upwards, giving her a bushy shape that is easy to work with. She can still reach around 140–180 cm, so do not mistake “bushy” for “tiny”. The branches fill out nicely, and the plant produces plenty of colas across the canopy. During flowering, those branches become packed with small, rock-hard and very sticky buds covered in resin. The flowers have a dense, frosty look and can make the whole plant look like it has been dusted with sugar. She is also known for being very tough, so topping, defoliation and taking cuttings are less likely to slow her down for long. This is one tough cookie of a plant.

The taste & smell

The flavour is where Gorilla Melon really gets interesting. The selected Melon genetics bring clear melon terpenes with a sweet and fruity character, while GG#4 adds the classic earthy flavour that made its side of the family famous. The result is a sweet and sour profile with melon sitting right at the front, followed by earthy notes that give the smoke more depth. It is not just another sugary fruit strain that disappears after the first few hits. There is some proper old-school character underneath it.
