Introducing: Compound Genetics now available!

Once a pioneer, always a pioneer. So the saying should go.

A new partnership has formed between two pioneers of cannabis breeding, ushering in a new era for Compound Genetics in Europe. Iconic Amsterdam breeders Paradise Seeds have teamed up with the best of California in Compound Genetics to give a European home to some of the most extensive and exclusive cannabis genetics and tissue culture.

To properly introduce themselves to the European market – Compound Genetics has released three sets of premium genetics to European fans for the first time.

Who is Compound Genetics?

Compound Genetics was founded in 2017 by Christopher Lynch, and what might seem like an overnight success was the result of almost two decades of hard work and dedication. Chris, originally from Orogen, spent a couple of years of the early 2000s in Amsterdam, soaking up as much knowledge about cannabis culture as he could. He then returned home and became heavily involved in cultivating medical cannabis. During that time, Chris began developing the passion for cannabis genetics that has led him to where he is today.

Where is that exactly? It is at the forefront of the most exciting innovations and collaborations in the cannabis industry today.

Taking terpenes to a new level

Compound's motto is 'Flavours by Design'. The motto is derived from a passion and determination to take terpenes to a new level by creating one-of-a-kind cannabis expressions that are unique. That passion has led to successful collaborations with Runtz and Cookies in the US.

The new partnership with Paradise Seeds will bring Compound Genetics to a European fan base and have many mouths of cannabis aficionados watering at the prospect of terpene-rich premium Compound Genetics available to a European market.

Welcome to Europe: Compound Genetics

The first three Compound strains we welcome to Europe are High Society, Marshmallow OG and La Bomba. Each of these strains has Jet Fuel Gelato as a parent, but each strain is unique in its own right. Each strain is diamond-tier quality, and each is a flavour design.

Marshmallow OG

Marshmallow OG is a cross of Compound's famous Jet Fuel Gelato and Chemdog D x Triangle Kush. The Chemdog D x Triangle Kush gives Marshmallow the aroma that inspired its name. Some phenotypes will have an intense marshmallow smell, but all phenos will have a distinctive fragrance that growers can expect from Compound Genetic cannabis seed. The rich tapestry of this strain's linage has seemingly been created from a vast library of cannabis genetics and designed to complement and support the traits of the two parent plants.

Growers should find that Marshmallow OG will perform well in whichever environment they choose to grow it in and with whichever technique they use. The plant should perform well indoors, outdoors and in greenhouse conditions and take nine weeks to fully mature.

High Society

This one will pique the interest of pheno hunters and entice them to germinate a few cannabis seeds to find a one-of-a-kind expression. High Society is a combination of Jet fuel Gelato by Compound Genetics and Biscotti by Cookies Farms. It is a plant that produces a wide variety of plant structures, terpene profiles and even plant colour.

Growers should look for a phenotype with a unique aroma profile that smells like it came fresh from the kitchen. The fragrance stems from the Biscotti parent that smells like freshly baked biscuits, French toast, cinnamon and nuts. Other phenotypes from these cannabis seeds might lean towards JFG and tend to have more Gelato-type traits.

High Society by Compound Genetics is high by name and stretchy by nature. Some plants have reportedly stretched 100% in size, others not. If grown indoors, it's best to have a little extra headroom just in case. It is worth noting that this one prefers to be indoors or in a greenhouse environment and will take nine weeks to fully mature.

La Bomba

Once again, Jet Fuel Gas steps up, and this time it is crossed with the renowned Wedding Cake to create La Bomba. Both parents of this cannabis gene are vigorous, heavy yielding and highly potent. We should be excited about this. The majority of phenotypes will develop traits of their Wedding Cake parent and produce a Kush-like creamy profile capable of being either sweet like candy or gassy like diesel taste.

Although the aromas of La Bomba vary, the flowers do not. Growers can expect buds that are big, frosted, dripped in trichomes and for half of the phenos to fade to an attractive shade of purple. La Bomba's heritage of JFG and Wedding Cake suggests that this plant will stretch quite a bit, but you're not limited to indoors or a greenhouse, as it will perform well outdoors.
