Garden Reports: Orangu Tangie

Those of you who have crossed the threshold of the Amsterdam Seed Center will know we keep a mascot in the form of our strain of the shop. Customers talk about it; tourists take photo's and one cheeky f**k once snapped the head off a beautiful flower and ran away.

When things go well, we keep a diary; those of you with nothing better to do might have seen them on the back pages of this site. However, if you need more time to scroll through weeks of garden reporting, we're here to provide an overview. We promise to keep it sweet and brief; we've done the hard work, so you don't have to. Or instead, because we were hoping you could do it too. Growing Orangu Tangie was a blast and one of the most enjoyable strains of the shop we've cultivated.

Orangu Tangie Cannabis Seeds

Week 1 - 3

Things got off to the best start, and all four seeds we sowed germinated. All four showed promising signs of growth, but one stood out of the crowd to show early signs of genetic divergence. All display healthy green leaves and sturdy stems. Weeks two and three show the plants developing well, but all display different traits. One thing they all share in common is the positive reaction to care and attention. The plants at this stage all looked healthy and vigorous.

Week 4 - 7

Week four saw our Orangu Tangie plants reach 30 -35 cm and produce their 8th and 9th internodes. At this stage, we topped the plants before they transitioned to flowering. By week six, these beauties were 50 cm tall. Things were looking good, and we were excited for what was to come.

Week 8 - 10

As we reached week 8, the plants reached a height of 60-70 cm and were by now displaying a vibrant variety of lush greens. And around this time, we noticed the smell coming from the tent was more challenging to contain. Our strain of the shop lets off citrus and tangy sweetness aromas as Orangu Tangie breaks into its stride during the flowering stage. By week ten, the promise of a bountiful harvest began to show.

Week 11

It was time to chop this visual spectacle down. By week 11, the flowers were wrapped in a blanket of trichomes with fiery red pistils to compliment the abundance of green on show. These plants were beautiful to look at from the off, but they are a treat for the eyes once fully grown. And it's not all about looks; Orangu Tangie is brimming with personality, is full of aroma, and displays impressive development. They flowered in 8 weeks, producing dense, resin-coated flowers that are a testament to the work done at Monkey Genetics.

Smoke Report:

The growing part was unforgettable, and the smoking was equally epic. Once our team twisted their tonsils around the ripe flowers of Orangu Tangie, they could not get away from the taste of freshly peeled fruit. Once cured, these plants blend fresh orange flavours with tangy lemons and tropical fruits for a flavour experience you'll want to relive.

Conclusion:

Orangu Tangie can do no wrong in our eyes. It is an excellent representation of Monkey Genetics, and we can't wait to see what else they have in store. If you like the look of this one but want to see other Monkey Genetic hybrids, check these out.
