A study at the Medical College of Georgia has shown that a CBD treatment has increased a natural peptide called apelin, which reduces inflammation. The cannabis community has long championed CBD strains and effects of them, so it comes without surprise that CBD might be an effective treatment against respiratory diseases. Not only does CBD reduce inflammation, but the report showed it also improves oxygen levels and reduces the physical lung damage caused by infections like the COVID-19.
