Original strain description
Copacabana is a Brazilian pure sativa landrace. By selectively backcrossing this strain could be shortened in the flowering time and so it provides the gardeners opportunity to cultivate these genetics also outside in a natural habitat. It is suitable for indoor as well as outdoor and supplies superior crops.

Copacabana: a Brazilian Sativa with an enormous production

Copacabana only grows about 150cm high despite their pure Sativa genetics and therefore is also suitable for a great indoor grow. Her flowering period lasts 10-12 weeks, during which she´s creating long and resinous buds. Copacabana can be harvested at the end of October and she yields 600-800g per plant, indoor Copacabana produces about 550-600g per square meter.

The aroma of Copacabana is very fruity and sweet with a slightly herbal touch. Her effects are stimulating and revitalize both, body and mind. If you are looking for a variety to sleep, you are absolutely wrong with her but for dancing through the whole night there is little comparable!

Growing Copacabana

The nutritional needs of her are not very huge. You should avoided too high nitrogen doses, as this can have a negative impact on yield. Copacabana is ideal for a Screen Of Green (Scrog) with 6 plants per square meter. She reacts good in LST and you should keep the height under control with fimming and bondage methods.

Week 7: Spreading out and flowering...

Week 7 Grow Journal Update for Copacobana Strain:

Another great week for our Copacobana plant. The plant has been growing very well, and we're happy to report that it has fully recovered from the topping that was done a few weeks ago. The plant is now spreading out, and we've put up a net/trellis to help keep the canopy uniform and encourage even growth.

This week, the plant has been in the flowering stage for two weeks, and we're starting to see the first signs of flowering. We're excited to see the buds start to develop and see how they will look as the plant continues to grow. Check out the pistils on the pictures.

As the plant progresses through the flowering stage, we've noticed more intens smells, which is a good indication. We've been monitoring the plant's nutrient levels and watering it as needed to ensure optimal growth.

Overall, we're very happy with the progress of our Copacobana plant so far. The plant is looking healthy, and we're excited to see what's to come in the next few weeks. We'll continue to provide updates as the plant continues to develop.

Week 5 Grow Journal Update for Copacobana Strain:

It's been a great week for the Copacobana. It's still in the vegetative stage and has grown rapidly to about 35cm high. We decided to top the plant this week to encourage bushier growth and more colas. The topping went smoothly, and the plant seems to have responded well.

The plant is starting to emit a slight smell, which is an indication that it's getting ready for the flowering stage. We are excited to see how the buds develop and how the plant's aroma will evolve as it matures. We've been monitoring the plant's water and nutrient levels carefully and adjusting them as needed to ensure optimal growth.

Overall very happy with the progress of my Copacobana plant so far. It's growing quickly and seems to be thriving. We plan to switch to the flowering stage soon, and we're looking forward to seeing how the plant will continue to develop.

Week 3: They got a new home!

It's week 3 of our Copacobana cannabis grow and the seedlings are doing good!

As you can see, we have transplanted them from their small containers to bigger 15 liter pots. This will stimulate their root growth. And as we know, bigger roots, means bigger plants!

The still fragile roots are clearly visible in the picture.

The plants are now working hard on their first set of true leaves (with 5 fingers)

Overall, our 3-week-old Copacabana cannabis seedlings are doing GREAT!

Week 1: Fresh out the soil..

We just germinated the Copacobana seeds. This process is very easy and can be done by just placing the seeds in a glass of room temperature water, and place this glass in a dark place. All 5 seeds sprouted after 24-48 hours.
