Best of: Strain of the Shop at Amsterdam Seed Center

Friends of The Amsterdam Seed Center, lucky enough to visit Amsterdam, will know we keep a tent and declare a strain of the shop. With so many new cannabis seeds from which to choose, it's getting harder each time we're ready to pop a new hybrid..

So what we do is put all our latest promos and specials into a hat and have the goblin we keep in the cellar pull one out. He's been on a good run because we've grown some crackers for Strain of the Shop, and the current resident of the ASC tent, Peanut Butter Cookies, is shaping up just fine. But here are the best cannabis seeds we've grown for The ASC Strain of the Shop.

Strap on your Amsterdam pants! Get ready to delve into the often infuriatingly confusing world of the Amsterdam Seed Center.

Strains of the Shop

Now you know what we're working with, it's time to see what work we have done. Here are the 3 of the best Strains of the Shop so far.

Lemon Orange

Last, we have selected Lemon Orange by Green House Seeds Co. So far, one of the zestiest of our shop strains, this Super Lemon Haze x Clementine cross-delivered rock-hard buds that were tight to the squeeze. Many of which had a purple glow that gave it ultimate bag appeal.

Our Lemon Orange started flowering 6 weeks from germination, and Week 9 saw a sticky-fingered vagrant finger a delicious bud from one of the plants. But by week ten, the remaining un-fingered flowers looked delicious. We never expected Lemon Orangeto be as good as it was. It was a pleasure to grow and even more so to consume. Lemons and gas are at the forefront of this smoke.

Purple Punch

We're always happy to pop a Barney's Farm cannabis seed. Purple Punch has been a joy to grow and a pleasure to consume. The grow made a slow but steady start. The Larry OG x Granddaddy Purple cross started showing signs of flowering at 6 weeks and looked nice and thick by week 10. Out of the three plants, there were two distinct phenotypes. One displays various green colours, and the other a beautiful purple.

We are happy to recommend this one if you're concerned about stinky cannabis. The smell from the tent was not so strong, but it did have some distinct terpenes often found in purple buds. Punchy, mildly spicy, but overall good smelling. The plants reached 80cm and flowered in 8-9 weeks (we chopped 12/13 weeks). Purple Punchis a great excuse to cultivate a purple cannabis strain.

Orangu Tangie

We were excited to pop these, and you're about to discover why. We rate this one for several reasons. From the early stages of vegetation to harvest, Orangu Tangie by Monkey Genetics is a sight for the sorest eyes. The plants exhibited remarkable resilience, adapting to various environmental conditions with ease.

Flowering took a speedy eight weeks, and hollering from the tree tops about the results. The dense, resin-coated buds are a testament to the work of Monkey Genetics. And the essence of freshly peeled citrus fruits with every toke of the finished product is one hard to forget. We have thoroughly enjoyed cultivating Orangu Tangieand can't wait to work with more Monkey Genetics seeds.

We selected these three to showcase, but we have grown many more and have Peanut Butter Cookies about to hit flowering. You can check out that one and all the detailed grow reports here. Until next time, stay safe and happy growing!
